The outer face has shallow diagonal grip grooves and a beveled edge. The backing is 0.4 mm thicker on the outside. The original screw-access notch and inner retaining features are preserved in the reference-based design. Overall part dimensions: approximately 97.97 x 66.55 x 7.90 mm. Compatibility: Yaesu FT-817 and FT-817ND only. FT-818 compatibility is unverified and is not claimed. This is a standard-compartment cover, not an extended cover for 18650 batteries. Confirm your radio model and compare the cover and retaining features before ordering. To install, switch the radio off, follow the radio manufacturer's battery-cover removal procedure, align the retaining features, and refit with the suitable original hardware.
