Focal bathys pivot hinge replacement v1.0

## About A drop-in replacement for the OEM piece. It clips on without disassembly or soldering and is on in minutes. Within the original footprint, the part is about as dense and print-optimized as the geometry allows. Whatever you print it in, and however you print it, this is as strong as that material and process can make this shape. PLA works, but life will be shorter than with a more isotropic material or process. PETG, ABS, ASA, nylon, or a sintered/resin print will hold up better under repeated flex. ## Install 1. The main part clips snugly onto the neck of the earcup fork. Light sanding or filing can help the snap-on clearance. 2. Partially thread the 4 screws into the top part so install is easier. 3. Align the metal headband with the screw holes in the main part, then tuck the wiring into the center before sandwiching it with the top part. The top part has a center cavity the wires need to sit in. If they are not in that cavity, the part will not close. Once the wires are seated, tighten the 4 screws. 4. The OEM metal shell goes on last. The hook on the back of the metal part goes inside the printed top piece. Rotate the earcup 90° to reach the screws. 5. After the last two screws are in, the assembly should sit snug and the panel gaps should be minimal. ## Print settings 100% concentric infill, with "alternate extra wall" on. Z-contouring helps fit and finish, but is not required. Support: on A 0.4 mm nozzle generally prints stronger. A 0.2 mm nozzle looks cleaner on the exterior. SLA and SLS both work. The thinnest section is 0.7 mm, so size features and supports with that in mind. ## Orientation The .stl has both the right and left pieces in the preferred orientation. Main: mount interface down Top: flat
