DIY Window Awning Brackets - for Cedar Fence Pickets

Create simple, stylish window awnings by repurposing Home Depot 6ft Cedar Fence Pickets! Mounting holes spaced 3-5/8" apart, recommended mounting with #8 screw minimum. Plan mounting position and cut fence pickets to appropriate length. Crown the boards appropriately to ensure that natural warping of the boards will still permit water run-off. Mount cedar fence pickets to brackets using (1) 1-1/4" no. 8 screw in the hole position indicated by the red arrow. Install (4) 3/4" no. 6 screws in the remaining hole positions. Note that wood boards are shown in image as visual representation only, but are not included with the order.
