The 34 mm-wide cradle is deliberately broad and flat rather than a thin peg, which is what stops the headband foam on a heavy set from creasing into a dent over time. The hook drops 48 mm below the desk and returns 34 mm, so headphones hang clear of your knees and cannot slide off if you knock them. Two 4.6 mm holes take standard #8 wood screws (not included). The mounting bar is a full 6 mm thick, so the screws bite into real material and the bracket will not flex under a 400 g headset.
