VW Hood Insulation Clip — Reinforcement Plate

Description This part was created to solve a real problem: the hood insulation (sheath) under the bonnet kept falling off while driving — even at ~130 km/h. The original VW clip has a very small contact surface. Over time, heat, vibration and wind load cause the soft liner to tear — and the insulation simply drops down onto the engine. After it happened twice, I decided to design a stronger solution. ⭐ What this part does This model works as a load-spreading reinforcement plate: The round disc increases the surface area The center square accepts the original VW clip Prevents the liner from tearing through again You reuse the clip — this part just strengthens the weak spot. I hope it solves your problem the same way it solved mine. ✔ Fitment (tested) VW T-Cross — 2022 VW Taigo — 2024 It may also fit other VW / Skoda / Seat models using the same square-post push clips — but always check dimensions first. Installation Place the plate on the front side of the hood insulation. Insert the OEM clip through the square opening. Press until it locks.
