Edge Protector for Bicycle Carriers

Edge protector for rear-mounted car bicycle carriers with channels made from bent sheet metal. This edge protector prevents the tension straps used to secure the bicycle tires from chafing against the metal edge. Without the edge protector, the straps run directly over the sharp edge of the sheet metal from which the wheel holders are made. Additionally, the edge protector helps keep the tension straps in place during loading and unloading of the bicycle carrier, reducing the risk of losing them. The last image shows a side view with a scale. This can be printed out and used to test the fit.
