Ankylosaurus is a large armored dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous of the Western United States. Known for its tank-like body and clubbed tail weapon, this dinosaur is fairly common in the Hell Creek formation. This replica represents an armor section that would have potruded from the animal's back. The term osteoderm means "Bone skin". This large osteoderm would have been interwoven with others while the animal was alive in order to protect against the threats of predatory dinosaurs like T.rex. Perfect for display or educational use.
