This 2-inch outlet extension enclosure shell is designed to bring outlets and switches flush with finished surfaces such as drywall, plywood, and thin veneer stone installations. Thin veneer stone commonly finishes at approximately 2 inches from the wall surface. This enclosure allows masons or finishers to grout the shell in place during installation, eliminating the need to return later to adjust electrical boxes. Once the finish work is complete, electricians can simply remove the existing 2.5-inch mounting screws, install the outlet or switch, and attach the cover plate as normal. This product is a 3D-printed PETG enclosure shell only, intended to serve as a protective mechanical housing for user-supplied, UL-listed electrical components. The enclosure contains no wiring, no outlets, no plugs, and no conductive parts. It performs no electrical function and is sold strictly as a non-electrical accessory. Manufactured from PETG, the enclosure provides improved heat tolerance and durability compared to PLA, making it suitable for use in proximity to standard household electrical components when installed using properly rated, certified parts supplied by the user.
