Remove the retaining cut washer and lift off the old gear. 2. Make sure the RVS / half-loading arm moves freely. Clean and lightly lubricate it if it is sticky - a stiff arm is a common reason this gear breaks. 3. Fit the new gear with the mechanism in the correct timing position (see your service manual), then refit the washer. 4. If the gear is tight on the shaft, ream the bore very lightly. Do not sand the teeth. This is a 3D printed part: fine layer lines are normal, and small support marks may remain on the tooth tips on the cam side - trim them carefully if needed.
